If you would like to hear how a premier law enforcement agency is managing security, while increasing the use of services from the Internet, then you will want to attend my session, “Guarding the Protectors: How the LAPD Strengthened Itself in the Cloud,” during the State of California Cybersecurity Education Summit on October 10, 2017 at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento.

I will be joined by LAPD’s Information Security Officer, Sanjoy Datta, who made the move to Zscaler’s cloud security software-as-a-service model four years ago, and hasn’t looked back. Together, we will discuss the current threat landscape, and how to leverage cloud security versus traditional hardware appliances to improve an organization’s security posture and decrease risk. We will provide insight on:

  • What is the purpose of moving security to the cloud?
  • What is the purpose of moving security to the cloud?
  • What should you be looking for in a cloud security vendor?
  • How to facilitate a seamless implementation that improves the user experience
  • Lessons learned, and what’s on the horizon for cloud security

I hope to see you in Sacramento on October 10! Please feel free to reach out to me in advance with any questions you might have.
