On December 2, state and local officials and technology leaders participated in #Innovate, a conference on technology and innovation in government. The conference was held in Sacramento.
Speakers included:
- Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, author of Citizenville: How to Take the Town Square Digital and Reinvent Government and former San Francisco Mayor, will keynote the conference and conduct an audience question-and-answer session.
- Silicon Valley Leadership Group CEO Carl Guardino will shape the state of the regulatory landscape and introduce the Lt. Governor.
- Department of Technology Director and State CIO Carlos Ramos will provide a state government perspective.
- State Senator Alex Padilla will provide a policy and legislative perspective.
The event also included fireside chats with some of California’s most talented public sector technologists and leaders of disruptive high tech companies. Speakers included SideCar CEO Sunil Paul and City of San Francisco Chief Innovation Officer Jay Nath, Code for America Director Jack Madans, Appallicious CEO Yo Yoshida, City of Fresno CIO Carolyn Hogg, Franchise Tax Board Executive Officer Director Selvi Stanislaus, SeeClickFix CEO Ben Berkowitz, PopVOX CEO Marci Harris and Velocity VC General Partner Jack Crawford.
