California State University, Sacramento, this week released a bid that will modernize its cabling infrastructure at some of the main student areas on campus.

"CSUS is seeking to establish an agreement with a qualified contractor to supply all labor, materials, personnel and supervision necessary to provide Coaxial and IPTV for its Housing and Residential Life Department, the University Union, Dining Commons and The Well (fitness center)," the bid invitation says. "The awarded vendor will also provide upgrade and/or replace the existing infrastructure located in the main head end room to meet current standards in providing digital and high definition content for at least 120 HD channels with the ability to watch live, recorded, and/or on demand content without the use of a set top box."
