Corrections Selects IV&V Vendor for Parolee Case Management System

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) this month selected Sacramento-based IT consulting company Delegata to provide verification and validation services for its Automated Reentry Management System.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) this month selected Sacramento-based IT consulting company Delegata to provide verification and validation services for its Automated Reentry Management System.

CDCR procured the services from Delegata through a $1.4 million Master Service Agreement on Nov. 2, according to state records. The vendor also will work on the Reentry Hub Rehabilitation Address System.

The Web-based Automated Reentry Management System (ARMS) is being developed to oversee case management plans for parolees and add reporting and program management functionality. These areas used to be managed via largely paper-based, manual processes in spreadsheets and written notes.

“ARMS will enhance case management for CDCR and contracted providers. It is expected to improve performance measurement of both offender progress and program effectiveness,” CDCR says on its website.

The new ARMS system will be administered by CDCR’s Division of Rehabilitative Programs and will pull data from other systems, such as the Strategic Offender Management System (SOMS) and the Correctional Offender Management Profiling for Alternative Sanctions (COMPAS) assessment tool.

The Reentry Hub Rehabilitation Address System is related to Reentry Hubs, which are designated institutions offered to eligible inmates within four years of their scheduled release in order to aid transition back into society.
