The California Department of Fish and Wildlife's Data and Technology Division is seeking IT consulting services from a California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) contractor to provide two staff with experience in Microsoft Enterprise disciplines.

The contractor's staff would work to develop new and updated solutions.

"Many of the Departments’ operations-facing systems and solutions are based on a legacy Oracle stack (front end, middle tier and database). Included in that is a custom-developed Data Warehouse also supported by Oracle. To align with a 'Microsoft-first' strategy, there is a need to analyze and redesign these solutions in one of the CDFW’s adopted Microsoft-centric technologies," according to a newly released Request for Offer.

The document provides other details about the Department of Fish and Wildlife's enterprisewide plans:

"CDFW is looking to extend the on premise SharePoint platform and integrate some of the technologies and features with Microsoft’s Office 365 SharePoint as an enterprise solution. The hybrid solution would provide the CDFW with space for custom applications, data aggregation and document collaboration capabilities beyond the current internal-facing infrastructure."

"Lastly, CDFW is looking to modernize a number of user-level services, including unifying file management across the department and modernizing the desktop operating system to Windows 10 with Microsoft’s Office 365. The modernization will provide a more seamless desktop experience for the CDFW staff and partners."
