The Little Hoover Commission has scheduled a hearing to review a proposal within Gov. Brown’s reorganization plan that would eliminate the California Technology Agency and make it a department under a new Government Operations Agency, according to the commission’s website.
The commission will meet Tuesday, April 24 at 9 a.m. in the Employment Development Department Auditorium located at 722 Capitol Mall in Sacramento. Technology Agency Secretary Carlos Ramos, TechAmerica Vice President Carol Henton and other invited stakeholders are scheduled to testify after noon, according to the agenda.
The Little Hoover Commission has 30 days from March 30 to review Brown’s comprehensive proposal to reorganize the executive branch and issue recommendations to the Legislature, which will then have 60 days to reject the plan or allow it go into effect.
