Techwire is tracking the latest tech-related contracts mentioned during Covered California's most recent board meeting and in solicitation documents. Here's a synopsis.

At the board’s March 15 regular meeting, Covered California executive director Peter Lee reported that the board had:

  • voted to pick up a bid on a competitively bid contract with Public Consulting Group
  • approved an engagement with GetInsured for licensing for management software “to help our agent community"
  • approved a renewal of its Oracle Customer Relationship Management software
Other solicitations award during Q1 2017 include:

1. Covered California for Small Business Agent and Employer Enrollment Application Technology Development, to “provide a complete business and technical analysis of the systems currently available to the exchange to support agents, general agents, employers and employees in enrolling and managing enrollments for the Covered California for Small Business (CCSB) program.
Awarded to Gallagher Benefit Services Inc. of Chicago.

2. Live Scan Fingerprinting Services for the California Health Benefit Exchange. 
Awarded to Capital Live Scan of Sacramento.

3. A Form 700 Management System, to “provide a Web-based electronic filing system for the automated management of the Exchange’s Statement of Economic Interests Form 700 filings that is compatible with Fair Political Practices Commission regulations.”
Awarded to NetFile Inc. of Mariposa, Calif.

4. Covered California also is scheduled to award a contract for a document imaging and verification solution in a matter of days.
