Roseville’s IT Department presented its 2017-18 strategic plan and budget Wednesday night to the City Council. The department plans on spending about $44,971,000 on five different categories of projects:
Public safety projects include facial recognition projects, police scheduling software and device replacement. Estimated Costs: $320,000
General government projects include transportation upgrades, irrigation systems, library public computer upgrades and registration software. Estimated costs: $518,000
Single sign-on software and utility metering are under the utilities category. Estimated Costs: $23,325,000
The citywide content management system, the Human Resources Information System and network improvements all fall under the citywide improvements. Estimated Costs: $20,528,000
Process improvement plans include PC replacements and service level agreements. Estimated Costs: $280,000
