The Senate Rules Committee, chaired by Senate President Pro Tem Darrel Steinberg, D-Sacramento, approved state CIO and California Technology Agency Secretary Carlos Ramos today in a unanimous vote.
Ramos’ position as a cabinet secretary requires approval by the committee, which today voted 5-0 to confirm Ramos. Gov. Brown appointed Ramos to the secretary position in June, 2011. The vote will now move to the full Senate.
