Pondera Solutions Announces National Partnership with LexisNexis

Pondera Solutions announced Friday it is partnering with LexisNexis Risk Solutions to add more power to Pondera’s Fraud Detection as a Service (FDaaS) solution. Pondera will integrate the LexisNexis Accurint for Government solution into Pondera Solutions’ FDaaS product.

Gold River, Calif., tech company Pondera Solutions announced Friday it is partnering with LexisNexis Risk Solutions to add more power to Pondera’s fraud detection solution. Pondera will integrate the LexisNexis Accurint for Government solution into Pondera Solutions’ Fraud Detection as a Service (FDaaS) product.

Formed in 2011, Pondera offers an FDaaS solution that “is a trademarked Google-powered analytics solution that analyzes claims and program participants, quickly sifting through massive data sets to identify and alert agencies to problems that require follow up investigation,” according to the company.

“The LexisNexis Accurint for Government solution allows Pondera to provide a higher level of service for our government clients by accessing more data at a faster rate,” said Jon Coss, Pondera Solutions CEO. “By layering LexisNexis’ public records data found in Accurint for Government over the FDaaS’ rules-based system, Pondera Solutions can now offer a stronger fraud filter that helps validate applicant information, supports investigations, and identifies links and associations not otherwise known. For example, the enhanced fraud filter will help detect Medicaid providers who use family members and cohorts to set up new businesses in other cities or states after they are flagged or sanctioned by health-care payers.”

“We are committed to identifying and preventing fraud in government programs, a pervasive problem that costs taxpayers untold billions each year,” said Haywood Talcove, CEO of Government LexisNexis Risk Solutions. “By partnering with Pondera Solutions, we know government programs now have the benefit of a powerful solution aimed at detecting and preventing identity- and behavioral rules-based fraud.”

Pondera’s customers include California, Nevada and Georgia state governments. FDaaS is used to detect suspected fraud cases in verticals such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), unemployment insurance, Women, Infants and Children (WIC), and federal, state and local tax administration and revenue programs.
