Techwire will hold its last live Industry Briefing of the year at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Tsakopoulos Library in Sacramento.
The 90-minute event will feature Kevin Matsuo, CIO of California’s Department of Education.
Matsuo has served as CIO at the Department of Education since 1999, overseeing projects such as rollout of tech related to Common Core curriculum integration and a school dashboard project, released in June. Previously, Matsuo was CIO for California Youth Authority. He has worked in state service since 1993 and is a graduate of Sacramento State.
Past event speakers have covered topics such as vendor opportunities, department procurement processes and an overview of their jurisdiction.
The briefing still has space available but is open only to Techwire members and those working in the public sector.
