The California Broadband Council will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Topics to be covered include:

  • AB 1549’s Broadband Site Database
  • FirstNet
  • Microsoft’s Connecting Rural America Program
  • County Fairgrounds’ Needs for Broadband

There will be an update for California’s FirstNet activities, which have been in the planning stages since 2014.

The Microsoft Connecting Rural America to New Opportunities program, which has explored leveraging unused TV channels, will also be discussed.
