CalPERS is seeking a chief technology officer to lead the agency’s Technology Infrastructure Services Division.
The position was created in August 2016 and held by Ron Hurle, who previously worked as an Intel executive.
CalPERS serves all state workers by managing the retirement, health and investment programs across all state agencies, except for teachers.
CalPERS reorganized its IT leadership in late 2016, naming former CIO of pension system Liana Bailey-Crimmins as acting deputy executive officer for the Benefits Programs, Policy and Planning.
