Three large California departments are seeking vendors to start IT services within the next several weeks.

The Department of Developmental Services released an RFP for fire alarm systems maintenance at the Sonoma Developmental Center.

The chosen vendor will be responsible for providing all parts, labor, tools, materials and equipment for carrying out all aspects of the project. The contractor will service, test, repair and maintain all fire-related devices, including the central fire alarm receivers, multizone annunciator panels, manual stations, detectors, sprinkler interfaces, manual and automatic smoke and fire dampers, manual and automatic fire doors and any hardware and software needed for normal operations. 

The agreement will start when the contract is executed and will extend through June 30, 2019.

The due date is Sept. 9, with a mandatory conference at 10 a.m. Aug. 24. All questions should be directed to Robin German.

The Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations released an RFP for GPS and electric monitoring services.

According to the RFP, the contractor will be responsible for providing services for up to 12,000 active GPS monitoring units 24 hours a day, every day. The monitoring system is required to be Web-based and accessed through a secure Internet connection that is supported by a secure database for transactional records for activation.

The services provided by the vendor will include all aspects of the project including, but not limited to, technology, equipment, consumables, Web-based systems and related monitoring support services.

The maximum contract amount is $87 million. All bids are due by 1 p.m. Sept. 21.

The Department of Transportation is seeking maintenance and repair services for its uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

The vendor is responsible for providing Caltrans with corrective maintenance including repair and/or replacement of UPS and any accompanying equipment. Additionally, the vendor will provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, parts, etc.

The estimated start date for this contract is Sept. 1, with an estimated completion date of Aug. 31, 2019. The maximum contract amount hasn’t been determined yet.
