CDCR Names Deputy Director/Chief Operating Officer for Enterprise Operations

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation named CalPERS Controller Kristin Montgomery to the position of deputy director/chief operations officer over Enterprise Information Services’ (EIS) Operations and Support — one of two deputy directors appointed this week by Russ Nichols, CDCR’s director of EIS.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) has named Kristin Montgomery to the position of deputy director/chief operations officer over Enterprise Information Services’ (EIS) Operations and Support. The position is one of two deputy directorships reporting to Russ Nichols, CDCR’s director of EIS.

Montgomery is the second deputy director whose hiring was announced this week by EIS. 

She comes to CDCR from the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS), where she served as controller. Montgomery has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, which includes extensive experience in technology and change management services.

She received her MBA from CSU East Bay (Hayward) and a bachelor’s degree from Wartburg College. 

On Monday, CDCR announced that Donald Page is the new deputy director/chief technology officer over Enterprise Technology Services. He also reports to Nichols.

Page has almost 30 years’ experience in managing IT programs, systems and application development, and supporting acquisition programs exceeding $3 billion in life cycle budgets, according to Jan Hagen, special aide to the Executive Branch in Enterprise Information Services for CDCR.
