The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has named Donald Page to the position of Deputy Director/Chief Technology Officer over Enterprise Technology Services.

The position is one of two deputy directorships reporting to Russ Nichols, the CDCR’s director of Enterprise Information Services. The other opening, to be announced in coming weeks, is the position of Deputy Director/Chief Operating Officer over Enterprise Operations Services.

Page has almost 30 years’ experience in managing IT programs, systems and application development, and supporting acquisition programs exceeding $3 billion in life cycle budgets, according to Jan Hagen, special aide to the Executive Branch in Enterprise Information Services for CDCR.

For the last 12 years, Page worked with federal agencies as a program management partner. He said he understands “the priority CDCR places on dedicated support to mission-critical programs and the importance of strategically aligning IT investments with CDCR’s mission and vision.”

In addition, Page has provided strategic consulting services to commercial firms in enterprise IT, led federal consulting services as executive director at Blackstone Technology Group, and led Robbins-Gioia LLC’s largest portfolio of program management service engagements as executive director for the Department of Homeland Security Operations.

Page, a certified PMP, has an MBA from Golden Gate University and his undergraduate degree in computer science from Central Michigan University.
