Counties, Special Districts Prepare for 2018 Procurements

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a vendor to enact a microtransit pilot project. The project will integrate existing transit options with microtransit pickup areas outside fixed-route options. It will include a mobile payment option and track real-time information about pickups and drop-offs.

The system could address gaps in service, provide service in low-density areas and offer turn-by-turn routes that respond to traffic data.

The RFP for the project is due Dec. 22.

The Sacramento County Department of Technology is seeking an acquisition of HPE Hardware. 

The RFP closes on Dec. 12.

Los Angeles County is seeking a vendor for Veritas Software Maintenance.

The maintenance could also include annual network backup services.

The RFP closes on Dec. 11.

Los Angeles County is also seeking a vendor for Shibboleth Software support renewal.

Shibboleth Identity Provider, a free software identity solution, is being used in the Employee Workplace Project and requires a year of enterprise-level support, 24 hours a day, over the phone or Web portal. Response times cannot be more than a one-hour turnaround.

The RFP closes Dec. 14.

San Bernardino County is seeking a board services system, as selected by the clerk of the board. The vendor will provide hardware, software, system support services and training. The vendor will also manage the project as data is converted and the system is installed.

The RFP is due on Dec. 22.

Workforce Partnership Inc., a special district in San Diego, is seeking a vendor to implement and train employees on database integration and business process improvements. This would include project management, software maintenance, training, technical assistance and user experience testing. The vendor would then build a records management system.

The RFP is due Dec. 11.
