That’s why Louis Carr Jr., the chief information officer for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), was the subject of Tuesday’s Techwire virtual briefing. Although dozens of people dialed in or logged on for the hourlong briefing, not everyone who wanted to do so was able.
So we’re reposting a recording of the call for those who want to hear it (or hear it again). We’re also reposting the critical data points for those who may see an opportunity to do business with LADWP, including Carr’s email address, his department’s procurement website, and his 17-page PowerPoint.
LADWP, after all, boasts 1.2 million power customers; 800,000 water customers; nearly 10,000 employees; and an aggressive recruitment/hiring campaign aimed at new college graduates as well as more seasoned mid-career professionals.
