A new website from the California Health and Human Services Agency (CHHS) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) showcases the state's progress toward goals for 39 key health and wellness indicators.

new website from the California Health and Human Services Agency (CHHS) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) showcases the state's progress toward goals for 39 key health and wellness indicators.

The Let's Get Healthy California portal also details 23 community-based innovations that were named finalists last month at the 2016 Innovation Conference.

“I think the most important thing about Let’s Get Healthy California is that it’s not government by solving problems for people,” said California Health and Human Services Secretary Diana Dooley. “The Let’s Get Healthy California initiative and the new website are parts of a larger process for people to engage in their own health.”

California has set a target to be the nation's healthiest state by 2022. The effort began in 2012 with the formation of the Let's Get Healthy California Task Force.

The dashboard now features easy-to-read data on indicators such as infant mortality, adult tobacco use, adult obesity, and many more. Data includes a 2012 baseline, the current data, and the 2022 target. Website visitors may also browse indicators by goal area, filter through indicator data and access public data and download it in various formats.
