Liana Bailey-Crimmins appointed CIO of CalPERS

The new CIO of the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) will be Liana Bailey-Crimmins.   She will start in the new role on August 5.

Bailey-Crimmins has worked in IT for more than 24 years. Bailey-Crimmins has worked in the IT field of numerous state departments, including the State Controller’s Office and the California Technology Trade and Commerce Agency.

CalPERS provides retirement and health benefits to 1.6 million public employees, retirees and their families.   The pension system’s IT program has a budget of about $85 million and includes 485 staff.
