The California State Parks’ Transformation Team on Friday launched a public website and released its first Transformation Action Plan, outlining strategic goals and 30 priority initiatives.

The 15-member team, made up of parks staff and outside consultants, says the action plan closely follows the Parks Forward final report’s four themes: fundamental changes, enhancing partnerships, expanding park access, and securing stable and diversified funding.

The Transformation Team Action Plan will be updated regularly and posted on the website. The team is focusing on the department’s budget, partnerships, internal practices, revenue generation, technological innovation, and outreach, the State Parks said.
