Comcast has named Sue Vaccaro to the newly-created position of Senior Director of Government Affairs for California.

The announcement was made by Mary Stutts, the Regional Vice President of External Affairs for Comcast California.
Vaccaro will report to Stutts on Comcast’s government affairs and telecommunications policies. She will manage a team of field directors of government affairs.
"We are thrilled to add Sue Vaccaro to Comcast’s talented Government Affairs team," Stutts said. "Her extensive experience in California government relations and legislative advocacy, combined with her skill in directing large government affairs teams, will be valuable assets in Comcast’s relationships with local elected officials and municipal agencies."
Vaccaro worked for 15 years at non-hazardous solid waste and recycling company Republic Services Incorporated, where she oversaw government relations and municipal marketing strategies.
Vaccaro is a board member of the NorthBay Hospital Foundation, the Solano Economic Development Corporation and the Fairfield Suisun Chamber of Commerce. She and her family live in Fairfield.
