Direct Technology announced Ty Parker will be joining the company's Government Solutions Group.

Direct Technology announced the recent hire of Ty Parker, a San Francisco-based solution architect and entrepreneur.

Parker's extensive development experience includes four years as an application group manager at Stanford and seven years as a solution architect and principal program manager at Microsoft. He also founded PaisleyWeb and developed the TimePlace platform and application. Now he brings his skill set to Direct Technology's Government Solutions Group and is looking forward to making a difference in government IT.

"With 37 years in IT, Parker's broad technical background and the fact that he wore Converse to his interview, we are confident that he will be an excellent catalyst in growing our Government Solutions Group in 2017 and beyond," a representative from Direct Technology said in an email to Techwire.
