The purpose of the PAVE Project is to meet the federal requirements to complete revalidation of enrollment for all providers, regardless of provider type. In addition the State must perform Federal database checks on all providers or any person with an ownership or controlling interest or who is an agent or managing employee of the provider, including but not limited to identity confirmation, exclusion status, Death Master File, National Plan and Providers Enumeration System, List of Excluded Individuals/Entities, The Excluded Parties List System and any other sources deemed necessary to minimize the Fraud, Waste and Abuse.
