State officials this week announced a redesigned portal,, that factors in the increased traffic from mobile users. With a new “touch-friendly” design, the portal has enhanced search capabilities, innovative dashboards that display real-time and rich infographics, according to the announcement.

“With more than 2.4 million visits a month now coming from mobile devices like smartphones and tablets, we focused our redesign on Californians on the move,” Technology Agency Secretary Carlos Ramos said in a statement.

The portal has over 10.6 million unique visitors each month, and provides access to data records, news, video, social media, a live-help operator available to chat, a mobile application gallery, Twitter accounts, YouTube channels and Facebook pages.
