The California Department of Transportation is recruiting for a branch chief (senior transportation engineer) to oversee the statewide Traffic Management Center (TMC) program and operations.

The branch chief leads and supervises transportation engineers in developing and implementing statewide policies, guidelines, procedures and IT systems; and determining resource needs, monitoring production, and addressing various needs related to TMC facilities and operations. “The incumbent also provides functional direction and consultation to district staff on issues related to TMC facilities and operations,” the job posting notes.
