When and where is MarkLogic World 2019?
MarkLogic World 2019 takes place May 14 - 15, 2019 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, located at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW in Washington D.C. We will host pre-conference training courses on Monday, May 13 and post-conference training courses on Thursday, May 16. Apply to attend the pre- and post-conference training courses during registration.
Can I just attend the main two days of the event?
Yes, by registering for MarkLogic World you will have access to all of the content and activities (keynotes, breakout sessions, evening activities, etc.) on May 14th and 15th. If you can only spare one day out of the office, that is fine too. As long as you pick up your badge and attend at least one session, you will not be charged the no-show fee.
Pre-conference training on Monday, May 13 and post-conference training on Thursday, May 16 is by application only. Apply to attend those trainings during registration.
What is the cost to attend MarkLogic World?
MarkLogic World is FREE! There is no registration cost to attend. Hotel, parking and travel costs are your responsibility.
Do I still need to register for the event?
Yes. All MarkLogic World conference activities and trainings are free, but registration is required. A $1.00 deposit will be placed on your credit card to guarantee your seat at MarkLogic World. It will be refunded upon onsite check-in, or with cancellation on or before May 10, 2019, the last Friday before the event.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
There is no penalty for cancelling your registration on or before May 10, 2019 – the last Friday before the event.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the MarkLogic World Registration Team at events@marklogic.com or cancelled via the registration site on or before May 10, 2019.
Registrants that do not cancel by the deadline and do not attend will be charged a $300 no-show fee for MarkLogic World
Confirmed registrants for pre- and post-conference trainings that do not cancel by the deadline and do not attend will be charged a $100 no-show fee for each training activity they registered for and did not attend
Please note that MarkLogic reserves the right to reject or revoke any MarkLogic World registration at any time and for any reason whatsoever.
Will MarkLogic World sessions be recorded?
We will record the keynotes and breakout sessions from the conference and make them available a couple weeks following the event. All attendees will receive an email with the link once they are posted.
What is an Expert 1:1 meeting and how do I sign up?
All attendees have the opportunity to meet with a MarkLogic Expert for a quick 15 minute 1:1 meeting to answer specific topical questions about MarkLogic technology. Sign up during registration or by emailing us.
Is there an app I can use during the event?
Yes, all MarkLogic World registrants will receive an email notification to download the mobile app three weeks prior to the conference. Here you will be able to build your own personalized agenda, message other attendees, get information about our sponsors and much more.
Is there a MarkLogic World discounted hotel block?
Yes! We have a discounted rate for all MarkLogic World attendees at the JW Washington D.C. hotel. Located at 1331 Pennsylvania Ave NW, the hotel is a quick 4-minute walk to the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center where all MarkLogic World conference activities will be held.
We have a discounted room rate of $299/night for all MarkLogic World attendees who book by Friday, April 26, 2019 or until the block sells out. A credit card is required to reserve a hotel room. The deadline to cancel room reservations without penalty is 72 hours prior to the day of arrival, local hotel time.
Will there be any wellness activities at MarkLogic World?
Continuing a long tradition, Matt Turner will lead a road bike ride before the sessions on Wednesday. This ride, for experienced road bike riders, will head out of downtown D.C. to Great Falls and end with a tour of the Mall. The ride with begin and end at the JW Marriott Washington D.C. hotel.

Can I drive there?
While we recommend public transportation, yes, you can drive to the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center. The address is 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20004.
You can access the parking garage via ramps at 14th Street (north and south ramps) and 13½ Street (off Pennsylvania Ave.). Please note all vehicles are subject to inspection. Parking fees are not covered by MarkLogic. Parking rates can be found here.
