3 State Agencies Seeking IT Expertise

The recruiting entities are the California Department of Technology, the Department of Child Support Services and the Alcoholic Beverage Control Department.

Three state agencies are recruiting for key senior IT positions.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) is seeking a systems engineer (IT Supervisor II) who will have supervisory responsibility over the Network Support staff. The systems engineer is responsible for “network planning to assist CDT’s customers in developing plans for the installation of complex multi-protocol networks, development of new service offerings, vendor management, vendor capacity management, network project oversight, and case management,” according to the job posting.

The role calls for experience in vendor management and service level agreements; ServiceNow case management and/or managing service request fulfillment; and project management and contract management.

The monthly salary for this position is $6,917 to $9,268, and the application deadline is June 24.  

The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) is seeking a project manager (IT Specialist II) to represent the department “in the most complex enterprise IT projects and Agile product development,” the job posting says.

“The primary responsibility of the project manager is to lead, plan, organize, oversee and control all aspects of project implementation to provide the successful delivery and management of ABC products,” the post says. “The incumbent shall employ industry recognized, state and departmental project management methodologies to manage IT projects to ensure customer needs are met, department standards are followed, and project milestones/deliverables are accomplished.”

The position has a monthly salary of $7,014 to $9,399, and the application deadline is June 23.

The state Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) is recruiting for an applications development and testing branch chief (IT Manager II), with “full supervisory and oversight responsibility for the Applications Development & Testing Branch,” according to the job posting. “The incumbent supports the software development process in the Applications Development & Testing Branch.” More details about the job are included in the online duty statement.  

The position has a monthly salary range of $9,262 to $11,258, and the application deadline is June 15.
