3 State Agencies Seeking to Fill Leadership Roles

The California Department of Technology, the State Water Resources Control Board and the California Department of Aging are recruiting.

Three state agencies are recruiting for noteworthy IT leadership positions.
 
The California Department of Technology is seeking a Manager of Internal Business Applications (IT Manager II). 
 
“The ITM II works closely with the CIO to formulate and implement IT policies, standards and processes for the ongoing operational effectiveness of all Department of Technology internal business applications and solutions,” the job posting says. “The ITM II also collaborates with Department of Technology leadership to ensure business needs are being met efficiently and effectively.” 
 
In addition, the person hired “serves as the executive manager over internal application business units and business continuity planning. This position has full management responsibility for organizing, planning, directing, coordinating and managing all activities associated with Business Systems and Policy Support, Business Applications Support, and Business Continuity.”
 
The monthly salary range is $9,262 to $11,258, and the application deadline is Feb. 24.
 
The State Water Resources Control Board is recruiting for an Information Security Officer (ISO). 
 
“The ISO provides leadership in project planning and management of information security work efforts,” the job posting says. “The ISO also provides consultation to customers, project teams, and executive management on risk analysis, mitigation strategies, protection of data and other information security related assets, and ensures adequacy of implemented safeguards.”
 
In addition, the ISO “meets and confers with high-level professionals from other states, corporations, and agencies regarding matters affecting information security policy and procedures and represents the Water Boards as a member on national and state security organizations and/or committees.”
 
The salary range is $7,634 to $10,230, and the application deadline is March 9. 
 
The California Department of Aging is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (IT Supervisor II) to be responsible for  “technology operations, supervision of the Help Desk, Server and Network administration teams, Project Management, Infrastructure and Desktop/User Support.”
 
Experience with supervision and leadership, project management, and managing IT operations are desirable qualifications, according to the job posting. 
 
The salary range is $6,917 to $9,268, and the application deadline is Feb. 23.
