Accenture Veteran Named Alameda County CTO

Alameda County has named Dave S. Kohn its new chief technology officer, according to an announcement on social media.

Alameda County’s previous CTO was Tobin Broadhurst, who held that role for 17 years. County CIO Tim Dupuis oversees IT for Alameda County, in addition to serving as registrar of voters. 

Kohn, who most recently served as chief operating officer of The HOPE Program, has decades of experience in IT leadership, having spent more than 25 years with Accenture. 

“I have spent my career defining, delivering and operating complex organizational and technology solutions for businesses and organizations in many industries,” he says in his LinkedIn profile. “I specialize in leading large (>1,000 person), multidisciplinary teams across geographies to deliver significant results in terms of quality, operational efficiency, cost management and improved business outcomes.”

He says his strengths are Application Development and Management; Business and Technology Operations; Delivery Methodologies (Agile, DevOps, Waterfall); Quality Management; and Organization Design.
