"As Secretary of State, I want to do all we can to encourage civic engagement among our youth," Padilla wrote in a press release. "The new HighSchool.sos.ca.gov website will equip young people with the tools they need to get involved, make a difference, and lead.”

The portal allows teenagers to pre-register to vote at 16 and then be automatically registered to vote at 18.

The site also offers educational tools, social media infographics and mock election tools. Students can work at the polls too, with information for the program available on the site.
