Cambria Promotes 2 Execs, Including State Account Lead

Ki Kim, who joined Cambria Solutions in 2005, has been named chief financial officer for the company. Diana Lee, who has been account lead for Southern California and deputy director for the company’s portfolio in the state, now has responsibility for California state and local government.

Sacramento-based Cambria Solutions has announced the promotions of two longtime executives.

Ki Kim, who joined the firm in 2005, has been named chief financial officer for the company, which specializes in “health care services, social services, public health services, transportation; and systems integration, business process re-engineering, organization change management, and project management services.” Kim began with the company as operations manager, and he was promoted to vice president of finance in 2018.

The company has also promoted consulting veteran Diana Lee to the position of account lead for the company’s California portfolio.

“Kim and Lee are among the longest-tenured employees with Cambria Solutions,” the company said in a news release. The company was a startup when they joined, when “executive strategy meetings were held around the dining room table at the house of founder and CEO Robert Rodriguez,” and has grown significantly since its 2003 founding. “Today, Cambria Solutions has eight offices across the country and (has) been recognized nine times by Inc. magazine as one of the nation’s 5,000 fastest-growing private companies, most recently in 2020.”

In her new role, Lee will lead all efforts and projects in the state, including those with cities and counties. Having served as account lead for Southern California and deputy director for the company’s state portfolio, “she has already been working closely with many of the clients and their projects,” the company statement said.

“I’m proud of contributing to the success of our public-sector projects that impact the lives of residents,” Lee said in the release. “Often our work is behind the scenes, such as building a technology system that helps low-income, disabled riders qualify for and schedule low-cost, door-to-door transportation, or rolling out a mental health services application for smartphones that helps with self-monitoring and alerts a therapist if additional crisis support is needed.”

Lee, who earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California at Irvine and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Southern California, says the continual change in the consulting industry, and the opportunities that ensue, are what keep her energized.

Speaking of the management and other team members, Lee said, “I get motivated by their energy and enthusiasm, and inspired by their creative ingenuity to help solve our communities’ problems.”

Cambria President Suzanne Vitale said Kim and Lee’s promotions will serve the company well.

“Diana is the perfect choice for leading our California portfolio, having established and grown our Southern California market from the onset,” Vitale said. “She has been a trusted adviser to many of our clients in the region. Diana will continue to build partnerships with our longstanding California clients and cultivate business relationships with other consulting and product companies that we work with to deliver high-quality services and solutions.”

Of Kim, Vitale said: “Ki has been integral in the growth and evolution of Cambria Solutions from its earliest days, helping shape our infrastructure, build our labor force and expand our footprint nationally as we’ve opened more and more offices.”

Said Kim: “I’m comfortable and effective operating with constant change, and quickly shifting to meet new organizational demands. I’ve helped the company build and rebuild, evolve, scale and innovate.”
