CDT Names Deputy Chief for Broadband, Digital Literacy

A sales and management veteran from Oracle Corp. has been named deputy director of broadband and digital literacy for the California Department of Technology (CDT).

A sales and management veteran from Oracle Corp. has been named deputy director of broadband and digital literacy for the California Department of Technology (CDT).

The appointment of Stephanie Tom, 46, of Sacramento, was announced late last week.

Tom has held several positions at Oracle Corp. since 1999, including director of sales programs, director of executive engagement, director of customer references, senior education solution consultant and senior marketing manager. She was international business development manager at CyberCash Inc. from 1996 to 1998, and senior account executive at Aerotek from 1994 to 1996. This position, which carries a salary of $126,900, does not require Senate confirmation.
