CDT Plans Vendor Forum, Q&A with Tong, Rogers

Vendors are encouraged to submit questions in advance of the event, which is designed to brief and update them on the best ways to do business with the Department of Technology.

The California Department of Technology is hosting a Vendor Forum on July 24 for those who do business with the state — and those who want to.

Speaking will be CDT Director and state CIO Amy Tong, and Richard Rogers, chief of the Office of Technology Services and interim chief deputy director of CDT.

CDT said in a news release that it will "provide the vendor/partner community with valuable information on how their companies can partner with the State of California. Vendors will also be given an opportunity to ask questions, make suggestions and provide feedback on the information provided."

Registration is available in advance online for those who want to attend in person and also for those who wish to view it through the webinar. The event will also be recorded for those who can't attend. The specific agenda is not yet set; Techwire will report more details as they become available, including ways to submit questions in advance.

The forum is free, but companies are asked to send no more than two representatives, as space is limited. At the last Vendor Forum, in October, more than 100 people attended.

The event runs from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. July 24 in Training Rooms A, B and C, 1500 Capitol Ave., Sacramento.
