Centrify Names Systems Engineer for SLED in West

He started as a computer and network specialist in the U.S. Marine Corps, supporting field deployments in both simulated and real world wars. Since then, he has served as the lead engineer for consulting companies, law firms, data centers, insurance companies, school districts and the nonprofit organization Feeding America.

IT veteran Brian Bearden has been named a systems engineer for Centrify’s state, local and education in the West region.

Centrify, based in Santa Clara, focuses on Privileged Access Management. The firm celebrated its 15th year in business last week and recently received FedRAMP authorization.

Bearden, who has more than 24 years’ experience in the IT industry, started in the industry as a computer and network specialist in the U.S. Marine Corps, supporting field deployments in both simulated and real world wars. Since then, he has served as the lead engineer for consulting companies, law firms, data centers, insurance companies, school districts and, most recently, as the lead engineer for the nonprofit organization Feeding America, which provides services to 200 food banks across the United States. 

Bearden’s career focus has been on network security and network architecture. 

“My primary career goals are to do something that matters," he said, "to work for an organization that I care about, and to make noticeable improvements in securing and stabilizing client networks.”
