CIO Academy Awards Nomination Deadline Extended

The first Los Angeles CIO Academy Awards will be presented on March 14 at the Los Angeles Public Sector CIO Academy at the Sheraton Grand in Los Angeles.

The first Los Angeles CIO Academy Awards will be presented on March 14 at the Los Angeles Public Sector CIO Academy at the Sheraton Grand in Los Angeles. 

Presented by Government Technology, sister publication of Techwire, the CIO Awards will recognize individuals within Los Angeles County and the city and surrounding cities' government for their outstanding contributions, best practices and works of distinction. The deadline for nominations has been extended until midnight Friday.

There are three categories of awards for submission:

1. Up and Coming Leader: This award spotlights an emerging IT manager or supervisor who shows exceptional promise in bringing energy, creativity and dedication to their work and organization.

2. High Impact Leader: This award honors a leader who in the past year has achieved significant breakthroughs, benefits and lasting change to the organization and those it serves.

3. Inspirational Leader: This award honors a standout motivational leader who brings out the best in others through inspiration, compassion, mentorship and exemplary performance.
