City Anticipates IT Spending for Police, Facilities

A Central California city is anticipating spending hundreds of thousands on IT upgrades and improvements for its city manager's office, police department and community center.

As the city of Pacific Grove eyes various improvements and upgrades to city facilities, vendors may want to take note of some upcoming contract opportunities:

— The city is estimating $100,000 for audio-visual improvements to the City Council chambers.

— The Police Department is considering $90,000 for surveillance cameras, controlling software and data storage.

— The city is eyeing $20,000 for modernization of the Community Center for Wi-Fi and other items related to the presentation system.

— The city manager has requested $20,000 for improvements to the manager’s conference room, including a ceiling projector and laptop.
