Chima had been a sales manager with Comcast for a little over a year before his appointment to the new role this month.

“Bobby has much success both here at Comcast and elsewhere,” said Ron Speno, Comcast’s senior director for enterprise sales for California government and education. “With 15-plus years of experience in the industry, having succeeded in roles including but not limited to national business account management, enterprise account executive and most recently field sales management, Bobby brings an abundance of experience to the role.”

Speno, in an email to Techwire, said Chima is “very excited about joining the government team and working with our state of California customers. Bobby’s consultative, thoughtful and strategic approach has served him well throughout his career and will continue to in the GovEd space.”

Before joining Comcast in September 2016, Chima had been a client solutions executive with AT&T.

Chima, a Sacramento-area resident, attended American River College. In his off time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
