Longtime sales and field ops leader David Cross has joined Comcast Business as its vice president for Enterprise Sales for the Comcast Business West Division.

There, his responsibilities will include “leadership for the overall Enterprise and Government sales strategy,” according to LinkedIn, including directly overseeing and managing sales to state and local government. He’ll also partner with region and headquarter channels to “execute sales strategy, reporting and overall management of this critical growth business segment,” according to Comcast.

“David is an accomplished global sales and field operations leader with deep experience managing enterprise accounts across a broad range of network, mobility, cloud and security solutions, accelerating business growth with a focus on customer experience,” Comcast said.

Cross comes to Comcast Business from Delphix, where he handled regional sales for the data virtualization company. Previously, he spent 15 years at AT&T, including eight years as vice president/general manager of AT&T Solutions and seven years as vice president of global enterprise solutions. In the latter role, he was charged with account management and sales to Fortune 2000 companies headquartered in the Western U.S., which accounted for more than $2 billion in revenue.

Cross holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College in North Easton, Mass. He is married and has one daughter.
