Department Seeks IT Project Portfolio Manager

The IT Manager I has direct oversight of technical staff as well as various contract staff and represents the department in dealings with state control agencies.

The Department of Conservation (DOC), which manages the operations of such areas as land conservation, mining, earthquakes, and oil and gas regulations, is recruiting for an IT Branch Manager. The manager (IT Manager I) will oversee the department’s IT Enterprise project portfolio, establishing and ensuring compliance with standards, processes and procedures.

“The ITM I represents the DOC to control agencies and directly manages technical staff and various contract staff,” the job posting says. “The ITM I exercises a high degree of judgment in analyzing complex technical and strategic issues in conjunction with the DOC program requirements when making recommendations to management and executive staff and when presenting the DOC issues to control agencies.”

DOC is part of the California Natural Resources Agency

The monthly salary range for the position is $7,634 to $10,230, and the application deadline is Nov. 25.
