The University of California (UC) system will close its annual call for vendors on Dec. 31. While the list of projects is broad, several IT needs are highlighted. Those needs include archiving and document management, relocation and transition logistics, equipment infrastructure upgrades, health IT needs, telecommunications and data infrastructure maintenance.

The Department of Water Resources is seeking financial management system implementation and training services. DWR is creating the State Water Project Financial Management Enhancements Project and has acknowledged a need for organizational change management.

The vendor’s focus will be on creating an organization and work design plan to support the changes being made. This includes reviewing training plans and supplementing them to fulfill any additional needs.

The RFP will close on Dec. 19.

The Health and Human Services Agency will close a Pre-RFP on Dec. 6 that calls for a case management, information and payroll electronic visit verification system.

The system will assist in tracking home health-care workers' hours and contact with patients. It is a direct response to the requirements set by the 21st Century Cures Act and must be effective for personal care services by January 2019 and for home health workers by January 2023.

The California Public Utilities Commission is seeking a vendor to assess the AT&T and Frontier Communications network throughout the state. The assessment will determine whether the current infrastructure is compliant with public safety and customer needs. The RFP will close on Nov. 30.
