Rebecca Friedman of e.Republic has been named Media Services Director for the Internal Services Department (ISD) with Los Angeles County. She will join ISD in July and will start to build out a Media Services Office. ISD’s Information Technology Services delivers solutions to support Los Angeles County's technology needs, providing services to a workforce of more than 80,000 employees in over 40 county departments.

Friedman worked as National Conference Director for e.Republic in the Techwire and Government Technology divisions, producing events in California and 11 other states during almost five years with the company.

“I had an incredible opportunity to work as part of a talented team and to connect with innovative government technology leaders across the country,” Friedman told Techwire. “Seeing the work they do and being able to bring them together to share their successes and find solutions to challenges was inspiring.”

Friedman has a background in training and change management on public-sector systems integration projects. She worked for Deloitte Consulting LLP for six years on projects in the U.S. and Canada, primarily focusing on Health and Human Services.

"I’m really looking forward to making the transition to public sector and working with LA County and the team at ISD," Friedman said. "Collaboration and communication is key to the business of government, and I’m eager to help drive that forward in my new role."

Dave Wesolik, general manager of Information Technology Services in ISD, said, “We are excited to have Rebecca join the ISD team and help raise the profile of the work we do to serve the citizens of L.A. County.”

Friedman's last day with e.Republic is today.
