The job duties include “providing enterprise-wide application development support in the assessment, design, and development of the most complex system reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF), throughout each phase of applications that are impacted by the FI$Cal enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The incumbent ensures adherence to the department’s business and technology vision, goals and objectives, coordination of activities within the unit, and the applicable responsibilities/activities with the rest of the FI$Cal team. The Information Technology Specialist I leads efforts to document emerging system functions, processes and data within the FI$Cal ERP system and ensures that the FI$Cal ERP system meets business objectives while adopting latest technology trends and industry best practices.”

FI$Cal is the statewide accounting, budget, cash management and procurement IT system run under a partnership of the state controller, the state treasurer and the directors of the departments of Finance and General Services.
