Folsom-based Pondera Solutions CEO Jon Coss has been awarded “Next Tech Innovator of the Year" by the Sacramento Regional Technology Alliance (SARTA), the company announced. At its annual TechCon gathering held in Sacramento last week, SARTA recognized Coss as “an outstanding individual in the Sacramento region for the creativity, novelty, application, importance, commercialization, and effectiveness of their innovation in Next Technology.”
Pondera Solution’s Fraud Detection as a Service uses Google programs to analyze large amounts of data to identify and prevent fraud in government programs. The California Employment Development Department recently hired Pondera to help crack down on false unemployment claims.
"Jon Coss has built the company into a powerhouse provider of innovative fraud detection services and software throughout the nation," said Kirk Uhler, chief executive officer of SARTA, in a statement. "The company’s products have helped shine a light on Sacramento’s growing and innovative next technology industry."
