Zscaler has named Tyrin Ford its new regional manager for large enterprise, responsible for driving sales with a focus on growing ZScaler’s client base in San Diego.

Ford has worked on strategic cybersecurity initiatives for clients including Hewlett Packard Inc., McAfee, Tesla, Nissan/Infiniti, Franklin Templeton Investments, Lionsgate, Warner Music Group, Jack In The Box, Big 5 Sporting Goods, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Yelp, and William Morris Endeavor Entertainment (WME).

“I've covered Public Sector/SLED in all of my positions, and will most likely have a few SLED accounts at Zscaler as well,” Ford told Techwire in an email.

“I'm excited to join the Zscaler team and help grow the business in San Diego,” Ford said. “The security landscape is rapidly changing, and COVID-19 has helped accelerate the adoption of cloud security in the enterprise. (With) workloads increasingly migrating to the cloud and more users accessing cloud applications and deployments outside of the corporate network, the market is looking for a ‘new security paradigm based on a multi-tenant cloud platform’ that displaces the traditional approach. Zscaler is the market leader, and we are allowing organizations to securely transform their networks and applications for a cloud-first world.”

Ford has served for more than 10 years as an Advisory Board member for the Los Angeles Urban League.

The Carlsbad resident is a graduate of the University of Missouri at St. Louis, with a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in marketing concentration in management organizational behavior.
