Former Accenture Executive Appointed Chief Technology Officer of Health Benefits Exchange

The California Health Benefits exchange has appointed Juli A. Baker to serve as chief technology officer of the California Health Benefits Exchange, according to an Exchange press release.

The Health Benefits Exchange is scheduled to create a new insurance market for Californians to purchase insurance using subsidies and credits by 2014. As CTO, Baker, a former executive for Accenture’s Health and Public Services, will be responsible for the design, development and execution of Exchange information technology systems, according to the announcement. She will earn $160,000, the release stated.

Baker served in her position at Accenture for the past 11 years. She has more than 25 years of experience dealing with complex information systems including among many others Medicaid, CMSP, Child Welfare, and Public Assistance, according to the Exchange.
