Health Care Services Department Seeks Vendor Feedback on Draft RFP

The Department of Health Care Services has also scheduled a webinar for vendors interested in potentially providing managed health-care services to beneficiaries of Medi-Cal, the state’s Medicaid program.

The state Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has issued a draft request for proposals and scheduled a webinar for vendors interested in potentially providing managed health-care services to beneficiaries of Medi-Cal, the state’s Medicaid program.

“Interested parties may include, but are not limited to, health plans, counties, providers, advocates and other stakeholders,” DHCS says in a stakeholder update, and it issues this proviso: “This is not a solicitation for submission of a proposal at this time, but only a solicitation for comments from interested parties regarding the content of the draft RFP for consideration prior to release of the final RFP.”

The draft RFP was issued Tuesday, and feedback is due by July 1. “DHCS will not provide formal responses to draft RFP feedback,” the announcement says.

The webinar will run from 2 to 3:30 p.m. June 10. Registration and other information is available online.

If the department does issue an RFP, notice will be provided. Questions about this RFP may be submitted to CSBRFP8@dhcs.ca.gov.

DHCS issued a request for information on this project in September; the details are available here. The procurement home page can be found here, and more details are also available on the Cal eProcure website for the matter.
