Health Department's Big Spends in June: COVID-19 and Cannabis Licensing

The California Department of Public Health awarded contracts worth more than $5 million for IT services in June, with five different vendors.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), which is spearheading the state’s efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, spent more than $5 million in June on IT services.

According to data from the state Department of General Services and the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal), the two largest contracts awarded by CDPH last month for IT services were related to COVID-19 and cannabis licensing.

Following is a breakdown of the five largest IT services contracts awarded in June by the department, which is part of the California Health and Human Services Agency:
