According to data from the Financial Information System for California, the rail agency’s five largest spends for IT services last year totaled just under $2 million. Those five expenditures, four of which were competitively awarded, are ranked here by size:
- “Services to support the Authority’s hosting infrastructure,” for $600,000. The vendor was Alexan RPM Inc., a small business enterprise (SBE) in Sacramento whose services include project management, risk management, business process analysis, independent verification and validation, cybersecurity, vendor selection and system development support. It’s a two-year contract, running from April 1, 2020, through March 31, 2022, and it was a competitive award.
- “Data architect and data classification,” provided by Capio Group of Sacramento, whose offerings include project management, business analysis and solution architecture. The rail agency’s $500,000 contract, which was a competitive award, runs from June 8, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2021.
- “Application support and maintenance services,” also a $500,000 contract, was awarded competitively to AgreeYa Solutions. The contract runs from June 29, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2021. AgreeYa, based in Folsom, offers specialized services to the public sector including business intelligence, data analytics, cloud and infrastructure, application modernization, staffing, customer experience and Web design, as well as enterprise mobility and Microsoft services.
- “Services for implementation of Web content management system,” a $241,912 contract, was awarded under an IT Master Services to SymSoft Solutions of Sacramento. The contract runs from June 4, 2020, to Dec. 31, 2021. SymSoft’s Digital Government division offers a range of services related to open government and public-facing user experience.
- “ADA remediation services” (Americans with Disabilities Act) is the focus of a $100,000 competitively awarded contract with CommonLook, a firm based in Arlington, Va., specializing in digital accessibility. The contract runs from April 29, 2020, through June 30, 2021.
