The online publication provides original content as well as news drawn from other Web sources. Stories are centered on new trends in technology, many of which are geared toward college students. Examples of current articles on the website are introductions to new products like Dell’s Windows 8 tablet; "hot" accessories for tech gear; write-ups on new devices like, for example, Pothos, a gadget that attaches to houseplants and writes Tweets every time they need to be watered; business news such as Oracle buying cloud-based social media marketing firm Virtue; and more.

Articles are consistently shared by IQ staff via Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Similar social media-based news sites include Qualcomm’s Spark and Cisco System’s The Network.
